A special note for mamas with young kids,

We know getting out the door can feel impossible some days.

We now have access to a lovely babysitter who can play with your kids at the playground right next to us, while you relax and still keep an eye on them.

A couple of hours filling your own cup, not only gives you more energy to connect with your little ones, but also teaches them that prioritising your needs is not selfish, it's self-love.

Our babysitter Emily is 16, loves kids, and holds a current Blue Card. Her mum, Amy, works in early childhood and comes along to the gathering herself — so if numbers are bigger, she'll jump across and help Emily out.

If you'd like to bring little ones, please get in touch ahead of time so we can confirm numbers. A small contribution of $5 toward Emily is appreciated.

Books on the Beach - Reflection

Today’s gathering felt really meaningful

Around 17 women came, from 16 to 70 years old, and something very natural unfolded

The books varied as much as the women

We sat together, shared the books we love, and spoke about why they matter to us. Conversations moved through life, change, friendship, curiosity, culture, and everything in between

Women arrived at different times. Some chose to listen, some shared straight away, and others took their time. Everyone was welcomed exactly as they were

A few stayed after, sitting together with snacks and continuing conversations. It felt easy, open, and genuinely connected

Thank you to everyone who came and made it what it was

If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, you’re more than welcome. You can bring a book or just yourself. There’s no pressure to share
